My husband and I worked with Joel for our engagement and wedding pictures. He was very patient to work with. I created a "guideline" of what images I wanted to capture during the big day and Joel worked with me to achieve them all. At first, we didn't want engagement photos done, but Joel convinced me it was important to capture this time of my life and he was correct! I love the engagement shots and I have them all framed on my wall. The wedding photos came out beautifully and Joel let us put together the final wedding book. I was really glad to be so involved because it let us get exactly what we wanted. Plus, I wanted to make sure all the "double chins" were photoshopped out and Joel did this for us. Of course there are photos I wish we had gotten, but I do think what we got were so special. Joel is a great photographer to have if you have specific things in mind for what you want - he will work with you to achieve them all.

My husband and I met with Joel Simpson in search of a wedding photographer and we immediately knew that Joel would be our choice! Unlike other photographers we had met with, Joel welcomed us into his home for the interview and presented his work in a friendly and personal matter, as opposed to making us feel as if it were strictly business. This was exactly what we were looking for; someone professional and dedicated to his work, but friendly and comfortable to work with. We feel he did an excellent job in all aspects. He did extremely well in capturing everyone and everything that was going on at our wedding. He caught looks and smiles on photograph that will forever be cherished moments. He really captioned the emotions behind those pictures. The quality of the photos were beautiful as well. We specifically liked the photos he turned into black and white, and sepia. He also did wonders with movement. We have photos in our album that show how much fun we were having without the blurring of a typical camera. When it came time to develope photos, or put our album together, Joel met every deadline. In fact, his timing was faster than we expected. The rough draft of our album was beautiful in itself, and the only changes we made were of certain photos, but his placement was right on target. Although we thought the rough draft was beautiful, the final copy could not compare! Our album is everything we could have wanted and more! Family and friends who have seen it, and the rest of our wedding photos, rave about how beautiful they are. Joel is wonderful at what he does, and we would recommend Joel Simpson Photography to anyone who needs professional photographs, whether it be a wedding, family protrait, or even a child's first birthday!
